1946 All-MLB Team

Beginning in 1925 The Sporting News began publishing All-MLB All-Star teams, a practice that continues today. Beginning in 1946 the Associated Press began picking All-MLB teams and did so through 2000 with exceptions in 1981 and 1997. 

TSN picked three pitchers which allowed Boo Ferriss to make the cut as it were since the AP went with two (a righty and a lefty). The only difference between the two teams is TSN had George Kell at third base and the AP poll had Whitey Kurowski. In the AP poll, Kurowski outpolled Kell 57-55. 

Kell split his 1946 season between the Philadelphia As and the Detroit Tigers.
