1953 All-MLB Team

 By JT

Phil Rizzuto (l) and Pee Wee Reese (r)

Here are the 1953 All-MLB teams with the Associated Press and The Sporting News (TSN) choosing All-MLB teams and the United Press (UP) chose All-AL and All-NFL Teams.

The differences between TSN and AP begin with shortstop with AP going with Pee Wee Reese and the AP going with Phil Rizzuto.

Bob Porterfield is the third TSN pitcher but other than that the rest of the teams were the same.

On the UP league teams, Harvey Kuenn beat out Rizzuto in the voting at short. The NL outfields were the same as the All-MLB outfielders, the AL outfielders were Minne Minoso, Mickey Mantle, and Hank Bauer. Billy Martin was on the Al team as the second sacker, Big Klu was the first baseman on the NL team. Yogi Berra is the AL catcher and Eddie Matthews is the NL third sacker.

And the official MLB All-Star teams—
