1953 MLB and AL and NL Managers of the Year

In 1953 The Associated Press (AP) and United Press (UP) voted on "Manager of the Year" awards. The AP picked a MLB Manager of the Year and also AL and NL recipients. The UP picked AL and NL Winners.

The MLB Manager of the Year by the AP and The Sporting News was Casey Stengel. The runner-up in the AP poll was Charlie Grimm. The AL winner was Stengel and the NFL winner was Grimm. In the NL the runner-up was Charlie Dressen and in the AL the runner-up was Lou Boudreau.

The UP voting had Stengel as the winner in the AL with the White Sox Manager Paul Richards second and Eddie Stanky was second in the NL UP poll.
